Fluorescence Lighting for Machine Vision
Fluorescence is a powerful physical phenomenon where certain materials absorb light at one wavelength and re-emit it at another. In machine vision, this principle is used to reveal features invisible under standard lighting—such as adhesives, coatings, markings, or contaminants.
Effilux designs high-performance UV lighting and filtering solutions to help you harness fluorescence for industrial inspection, quality control, and scientific applications.
Why Filtering Is Critical
Fluorescent signals are often much weaker than the incident UV light. To capture them clearly, precise filtering is essential:
- Enhance contrast: Filters block unwanted wavelengths, making fluorescent areas stand out
- Reduce noise: Suppress background light to detect even faint emissions
- Improve sensitivity: Enable cameras to focus on the true signal
Effilux offers a full range of filters and accessories to optimize your setup.

LED Bar
Bar lights offer flexible bright and dark field illumination depending on the number of lights used, the installation position & angle, and the inspection object in order to get the optimal image.
Ring
Ring lights are commonly used to produce darkfield, diffused or directional lighting to illuminate objects in an uniform way. Shadows can be significantly reduced by placing it almost parallel to the camera.
Projector
EFFILUX offers high intensity & homogeneity projector lights in various sizes and patterns with adjustable working distance and illuminated areas to achieve bright and dark field illumination for applications that require intense illumination in limited space.
