A laser diode module is a compact device that integrates a laser diode, optics and control electronics into a ready-to-use package. It generates a precise and stable laser beam for machine vision, measurement and alignment applications.
Laser diode modules are widely used for 3D scanning, laser triangulation, profilometry, dimensional measurement, robotic guidance, alignment and industrial inspection. They enable accurate surface reconstruction and high-precision measurements.
In 3D machine vision systems, laser modules project a line, point or pattern onto an object. The deformation of the projected beam is captured by a camera and processed to calculate shape, dimensions and surface characteristics.
